Adventure Of Link: Spell Guide

Shield:
This spell will raise Link's life level temporarily, and it will also reduce the damage you receive from enemies to half of the normal. Very useful when you are low on life, and in a place crowded with enemies! You receive this spell from the wise man in the town of Rauru.


Jump:
Use this magic spell to increase the power of your jump, meaning that you will be able to jump higher and farther than ever before! Comes in handy when there are heights you cannot reach with the normal jump. To be able to add this spell to your inventory you must give the a trophy to the niece of the Wise Man in Ruto.


Life:
This is needed to recover your hearts when you are having one of those near-death experiences -- Although it will only recover the meter to a certain extent, it is certainly a must have. Get it by giving the mirror to the daugther of the Wise Man in Mido.


Fairy:
A somewhat original spell, this is. By using it Link will turn into a fairy, and he will be able to fly through dangerous terrains. Be aware that when using this spell, all your attack-powers will be gone. You must give talk to the Wise Man of Mido, and give his wife the medicine to acquire this spell.


Fire:
Equip this spell, and you will be able to shoot fireballs when swinging your sword. Certain enemies can only be put to rest with the use of this spell. Go to Nabooru and talk to the Wise Man there, then give his daughter the fountain water. The spell will be yours!


Reflect:
This piece of magic is more than useful when you encounter magicians throughout the palaces, as it will bounce all the magic they attempt to cast at you. Get it in Darunia by giving the missing child to the Wise Man's wife.


Spell:
The magic of the Spell is not fully known to the people of Hyrule, but legend has it that its powers can make a hidden cave somewhere in New Kasuto appear. Additional powers include scaring some enemies so much that their shape will change. In New Kasuto pull a Santa Clause to enter the Wise Man's house, and he will give you this magic ability.


Thunder:
Of all spells that are known throughout the land of Hyrule, this is the most powerful. It will damage all enemies close to Link, and it is particulary useful when fighting the boss of the Great Palace. It is obtained by talking to the Wise Man in Old Kasuto.
