Hidden Menu
On your controller port # 1 , pause the game.Then, on Controller port # 2, press Up and A then a screen with show up with "Continue,Save,Retry" will show up

Red Water
You know when you use your water of life once , it turns blue , meaning you can only use it once more before it disappears. To refill it without buying a second one , Buy instead a Blue Water of Life , this will make it red again.

Second Quest
On the title screen enter your name as "ZELDA", and it will show Link beside the name with a sword , meaning you now can play the second quest.

Extra Key
After you enter the first dungeon , exit, then you will notice the north door being unlocked , this will give you an extra key incase you get stuck.
