Ocarina of Time: Big Poe Guide


Once awakening and finding yourself 7 years in the future you will notice several differences in the overworld from when you were young. The biggest change would have to be the lack of peahats and the now large amounts of Poes in Hyrule Field. Hyrule Castle Town Market has been destroyed and in place of the room with a lone soldier and several pots there is now a cloaked figure that offers you 50 rupees and one store credit for every Big Poe that you bring to him. Once you have gotten ten credits he will give you a piece of heart. To capture a Big Poe you must be on horseback and have planty of arrows. As you are riding around a Big Poe will appear and you must shoot the Poe with two arrows to defeat it and then you must put its spirit into an empty bottle. Return them to the cloacked figure and the reward is yours. Now the trick to accomplishing this is knowing where to look for these Big Poes. This guide will give you an approximate location on where to look for these ten Big Poes.


1.The first Big Poe is located in the South East corner of Hyrule Field. It will be near a tree.


2. The second Big Poe is also in the South East corner but it is near a rock surronded by a bunch of brown trees.


3. The third one is located near the plateau like structure on the way to Gerudo Valley.


4. The fourth is located North of Gerudo Valley next to a lone tree.


5. In the North West corner of Hyrule Field there is a small stream. Near it is a circle of bushes. The Poe should be in the middle of the circle.


6. Near Lon Lon Ranch there is a sign. Look around there.


7. Also near Lon Lon Ranch there is a brick wall. In this area you will find another Big Poe.


8. Near the Lon Lon Ranch entrance there is a tree. A Big Poe is in this general area.


9. Head towards Kakariko Village and as you approach the entrance a Big Poe will appear.


10. The last Big Poe is located near a fence South of Kokiri Forest.
